April 2009: Several people have asked what is happening to the area of ground at the far end of the carpark: we have planted a small orchard of 48 fruit trees; several varieties of apples and pears cookers and eaters. We have also planted a hawthorn hedge. We are planning to do more planting. Hopefully the ground surrounding the pub will become more attractive as time goes on.
