Menus and wine list
Meals are served at lunch and dinner every day. At weekends the kitchen is open all afternoon too, so you can enjoy a relaxed late lunch or early dinner. Snacks and cream teas are available at all times.
VALENTINE'S WEEKEND
This year the opportunity to celebrate isn't restricted to one day and you can celebrate with us on Saturday and Sunday nights with our Valentine's Weekend Specials Menu. We are also offering our usual Pub Classics, Pizza and Takeaway menus over the weekend.
LUNCH & DINNER MENUS
Our aim is to provide you with good, modern British food based on what is available locally and in season. We grow as much as possible ourselves.
Although all the food is cooked to order from fresh ingredients you will still find a good choice of menus from our Pub Classics menu, Daily Specials, Pizza menu the Sunday menu and, for people who only want a snack, the Sunday Snack Menu. The Sunday menu changes each week the menu here is to give you an idea of the kind of dishes we offer. The chefs can cook most of the food in smaller child-size portions at a reduced price and for very small children we have a Children's Menu. We cook all the desserts from fresh ingredients.
At some times of the year we run a special menu based on a particular ingredient e.g. our asparagus menu, or fish and game menu
This year you can choose from two Christmas Menus: Gold and Silver. Both are equally delicious but are priced with the current credit crunch in mind.
TAKEAWAY MENUS
If you don't want to cook we offer our pizza menu and a Takeaway Menu which includes traditional takeaway favourites and a selection of our desserts. You can telephone your order and collect at a time convenient to yourself or come down and have a drink and maybe browse the charity books or read the paper whilst you wait for your food to be cooked.
CLOTTED CREAM TEAS
You can have a cream tea at any time that the pub is open. The scones are made fresh daily and the clotted cream is from Jersey cows. If you would like sandwiches, homemade biscuits or cake please ring to discuss your requirements.
BUFFET MENUS
If you are planning a celebration whether it be a wedding, christening, funeral or a birthday. We can offer buffet menus at various prices (bronze, silver or gold). We can tailor the menus to suit you and to accommodate food intolerances.
WINE LIST
We hope you will like our wines. If you have a special request please feel free to discuss it. We are always open to suggestion.
